Keith Hales Semi-Finals Brymbo SSC 4 v Isycoed 2 Railway Rhos 2 v Cunliffe Arms 4
In a pulsating semi-final tie at Ponciau Banks, the Cunliffe Arms came form 2-0 down to beat the Railway Rhos 4-2 to reach the Final of the Shelley Cup. Steven Reece got the only goal of the opening half to give the Railway the lead. A Josh Rush penalty at the start of the second doubled the advantage. The fight back started with Mathew Williams netting and then Matty Williams, from forty yards, got the sides level. Mathew Williams then went on to complete his hat trick and get the Cunliffe into the Final.
There they will meet Brymbo SC who defeated Isycoed, also by 4-2. Callum Williams opened the scoring for Brymbo and Paul Messham doubled the advantage by the break. Ally Hughes gave Isycoed some hope by reducing the arrears at the second half but Mike Wright soon restored the two goal lead. Adam Lloyd then netted a fourth before Jason Edwards got a second for Isycoed.
